Garner

Garner has a good stock of solid older brick houses, and the masonry that needs attention on them is usually the same short list: front steps that have settled and pulled away from the stoop, a chimney crown that cracked years ago, and joints along the water table that have washed back a half inch.

We rebuild steps and stoops to consistent riser heights on a proper footing, so they stop moving, and we repoint with mortar matched to the original color and joint profile rather than a bag of grey that announces itself from the street. On chimneys we pour a real sloped crown with an overhang and a drip edge instead of buttering mortar across the top.

New work is just as welcome — patios, walkways, fire pits and retaining walls. Garner is fifteen minutes from most of our Raleigh jobs, so scheduling here is quick.
